Web Page Requests
How to prepare information to post on SOP & Departmental websites
New Content
- Text should be sent as a plain text file (.txt), or MS Word file
- It's helpful to point out which section of your website the new content goes under (i.e. News & Events, Research, Resources, etc.)
Updated Content
- Depending on the length, updated text can be sent as an email, plain text file(.txt), or MS Word file
- If most of the content is unchanged when compared to the previous content then please highlight the changed content in some way to call attention to it
- Send along the url (web address) of the page that needs changing, this speeds up the process of finding the page
Both
- Images can be embedded in a Word file or sent as individual files
- Acceptable image file types are gif, jpeg and png
Don't Forget
- Please double check your content for errors and edit your content before sending it to be posted
- It's good to have a second person review your content before sending it
Where to send
- Email your finished content to pharmweb@ku.edu with the subject Web Request followed by the organization, department, or contact name (ex. Web Request - Rho Chi)
- Using the proper subject line will help to bring attention to your email
