Fall 2009–Summer 2010

Fall 2009

August 20 Classes begin
September 3 If student was enrolled during Summer 2009 and meets all requirements for December 2009 graduation by this date, the student will not be required to enroll for Fall 2009
December 2 Last day to notify the School by email (pharmacy@ku.edu) of your defense date. (Must include your name, title, time, date, location as well as your outside member name and campus address)
December 4 The last date for May 2010 doctoral aspirants to take Comprehensive Oral examinations
December 16 Last day to defend thesis or dissertation
December 18 Last day for December 2009 master's and doctoral candidates to submit the online application for degree card. This is found under 'graduation' on Enroll & Pay. (Doctoral tract students must complete the online application for degree card for the Master's upon completion of your "comprehensive oral for doctorate". This is a requirement set forth by the University Registrar's office).

Last day for December 2009 master's and doctoral candidates to electronically submit thesis or dissertation online. Complete directions are provided at www.graduate.ku.edu under 'Student Resources'.

Last day to deliver the signed Acceptance Page, signed Title Page, and Survey of Earned Doctorates (doctoral candidates only) which is found online at www.graduate.ku.edu under 'Form Finder' to Karen Montgomery (2056 Malott Hall, Dean's Office). Please call ahead to 864-3591 to ensure Karen's availability. While at the Dean's Office you will be asked to complete the short Theses/Dissertations Release Form.
December 31 December degrees awarded (formally conferred at May 2010 commencement)

Spring 2010

January 14 Classes begin
January 28 If student was enrolled during Fall 2009 and meets all requirements for Spring 2010 graduation by this date, the student will not be required to enroll for Spring 2010
February 8 The last date for August 2010 doctoral aspirants to take Comprehensive Oral examinations
March 1 Last date to submit 'application for degree' to assure inclusion in the Commencement program. This is found under 'graduation' on Enroll & Pay. (Doctoral tract students must complete the online application for degree card for the Master's upon completion of your "comprehensive oral for doctorate". This is a requirement set forth by the University Registrar's office).
April 12 Last day to notify the School by email (pharmacy@ku.edu) of your defense date. (Must include your name, title, time, date, location as well as your outside member name and campus address)
April 26 Last day to defend thesis or dissertation
